banana cream pudding cookies


Pudding cookies! I've been looking forward to making another batch since my pumpkin chocolate chip pudding cookies a month or so ago. My littles love anything banana flavored, so I thought banana cream cookies would be a fun twist. Turns out I was right! The banana flavor from the pudding was tasty without being overpowering. And in combination with the creamy white chocolate chips, it made for a perfectly moist delicious cookie. Yum!
Banana Cream Pudding Cookies
adapted from Chef in Training

1 1/2 sticks (or 3/4 cup) butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 (3.4 oz) package instant banana cream pudding
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
2-1/4 cups flour
1 cup white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 F. Stir together flour and baking soda and set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars together. Add in pudding package and beat until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture slowly until well incorporated. Add chocolate chips. Roll into 1″ balls and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 F for 8-12 minutes.

  9. I making these right now. I think is is supposed to be 1 1/2 sticks of butter because that would be 3/4 cup. Just thought I would let you know.

  14. Hi Alicia, I found these on Pinterest and had to stop by and comment. They look so delicious. I can't seem to find banana cream pudding here in the UK. We have something called 'Angel Delight' here though which do a banana flavour. It's a powder that you mix with milk then leave to set in the fridge. Does that sound like the same thing? If it is, they come in 59g (approx. 2oz) sachets that you mix with 300ml (approx. 1¼ cups).

    I want to make these, but if our pudding differs to your pudding they might end up being too thick or runny or not coming out at all. What do you think? Thank you.

    1. Hi Lisa! Yes, that sounds pretty similar to what I used for this recipe. If I were you, I might use 1 1/2 - 2 packets to equal the same amount of pudding mix as what I used. The pudding mix makes the cookies so soft and fluffy and perfect!
